Starbucks Deals!

There are some great perks you can take advantage of if you use a Starbucks Gift Card to buy your drinks/snacks at Starbucks! All you have to do is register your card online, and when you do they'll automatically send you a voucher for a free drink (anything, any size!!) on your birthday. Pretty good start!

The Canadian program is a little different from the US program, but we still have lots of great perks including:

* A Free Drink on your Birthday

All registered Starbucks Card holders get a handcrafted birthday beverage of their choice. My Starbucks Rewards will make you feel special all year long, but for this one day you’re extra special.

* Free Wi-Fi – Up to 2 Continuous Hours a Day

Surf while you sit in coffeehouse comfort. With your active registered Starbucks Card, you'll receive up to two hours of Wi-Fi service every day.
* Free Beverage Customization

Purchase a beverage with your registered Starbucks Card and you can get your syrup and milk options (like soy) on the house.
Complimentary choices include Caramel syrup (regular or sugar-free), Cinnamon Dolce (regular or sugar-free), Classic, Hazelnut (regular or sugar-free), Juicy Raspberry, Peppermint, Toffee Nut, Vanilla (regular or sugar-free), Sugar-Free Mocha, soy, breve and heavy cream.
* Free Refills on Brewed Coffee

When you're at Starbucks you feel at home. Your registered Starbucks Card gets you brewed or iced coffee refills at no charge.
You must use your registered Starbucks Card to purchase a hot or iced brewed coffee and then present that same card for the refill during the same visit.
* Free Beverage with Whole Bean Purchase

Get more coffee with your coffee. When you use your registered Starbucks Card to buy 1 lb of our whole bean coffee, we'll give you any handcrafted Tall (12oz) beverage of your choice.
* Free Trial Offers

We'll make sure you're "in the know" when it comes to new products we're introducing in our coffeehouses.

----------------

I've taken advantage of these little extras a few times, its a great program if you drink a lot of Starbucks like I do. Register your gift card and reload it to buy your drinks!! Register your card Here!

Some things ARE Free! Swagbucks

There are websites online that do give free rewards for using them. Perhaps the best example of this is SwagBucks!

Search & Win

Swagbucks is a search engine that randomly awards 'bucks' for the searches you make! It doesn't take long for these to add up, and they can be redeemed for all kinds of rewards. My favourite thing to redeem for is Amazon.ca gift cards, I'm up to $50.00 now and I'm not a heavy user of the program by any stretch. Other ways to collect swagbucks include swagcodes, which are released periodically- they are a jumble of words/letters/numbers and direction on how to find the codes is usually given on the widget! I have posted a widget for you to check below.

Hope you enjoy Swagbucks as much as I do! If you haven't already joined, you can by clicking here.

Getting the Ball Rolling! COUPONS!

Here's what you can do to get saving right away in your household:

  • Use coupons for products you normally purchase. You would be amazed at what is available out there, and they really add up to big savings. Free money saving coupons can be ordered from these sites in particular: Save.ca, GoCoupons.ca, BrandSaver.ca, WebSaver.ca

  • You can also find all kinds of coupons in stores, especially Safeway, IGA, SaveOnFoods, Shoppers Drug Mart, and many more stores. The smaller scale chain grocery stores are most likely to display coupons, its rarer to find them displayed at Loblaws/RCSS and Walmart, though these are usually the best places to use the coupons you find elsewhere to get the most bang for your buck.

  • Also keep an eye out for your SmartSource and RedPlum (Shop&Save) coupon flyers! They usually come with your newspaper and are full of useful coupons. Clip them out, save them and use them! Here is the 2010 Insert schedule, courtesy of couponlady on SmartCanucks.
